Dachshund Dash

Dachshunds, get ready to show off your speed (and maybe your love for sausages) at the Wauktoberfest Dachshund Dash!

This fun race takes place on Sunday, September 15th at 3:00 PM on the Wauktoberfest grounds.

Dachshund Owners and Teams

We’re looking for teams of two humans (one must be 18 or older) and one enthusiastic Dachshund dog (6 months or older). Each dachshund will get to unleash their inner champion alongside their human “releaser” at the starting line. At the sound of the whistle, it’s a race to the finish line towards their waiting “catcher,” who can entice the pup with a tasty treat or favorite toy.

The Dachshund Dash will feature preliminary heats, with the fastest pups from each heat going head-to-head in a final race to crown the ultimate “Wiener King” or “Queen” of Wauktoberfest! So, dust off those tiny racing jackets and get ready for a day of fun, competition, and adorable doggy determination!

• Bring water
• Dogs must be leashed when not racing.
• Dogs must be up to date on all vaccinations & all verifiable with shot record liability.
• Must clean up after dogs.
