Two humans, one of them 18 or older &  one 6-months-or-older Dachshund dog.

Dachshund must be current on DHPP, Rabies and (suggested) Bordetella vaccines, all verifiable with shot record-Liability release form. DOGS MUST BE ON LEASH WHENEVER NOT RACING!-OWNERS MUST CLEAN UP AFTER DOGS!

Each set of dogs will be called up in advance for their heat, dogs and one human (“realeaser”) line up behind the start line and the other human is behind the finish line (“catcher”). At the count, the dog is run to the finish line as fast as possible.   The “catcher” is allowed to have an incentive of some sort for the dog to run faster.

There will be preliminary heats, with the winners of these heats will be competing head-to-head to determine the “Wiener King/Queeen of Wauktoberfest” in the final heat.

To Win:  The first dog to completely cross the finish line wins the heat & then the final race.
